OPTIMISE YOUR RETURN-TO-WORK PROCESS WITH A PHYSICAL DEMAND ANALYSIS
Kinetik Systems tailors physical demand analyses (PDA) and suitable duties plans (SDP) to facilitate your return-to-work programs.
✔ Save your company indirect costs and time spent on communications.
✔ Remove the confusion and cost associated with injury.
With a PDA on hand, ensure you're prepared in the event of a workplace injury.
WHAT IS A PDA?
Physical Demand Analysis (PDA) is an onsite job assessment and breakdown of all tasks performed in a role including:
✔ shifts ✔ durations ✔ weights lifted ✔ positions sustained on each task ✔ physical-related hazards
PDAs accurately determine the physical requirements needed for a worker to safely perform each job before hire and when returning after injury in an easy-to-read, user-friendly document.
This is not a duties and responsibilities description provided in an employee's contract, but a roadmap for healthcare professionals to streamline rehabilitation and return-to-work.
BEFORE & AFTER AN INJURY
Your PDAs are stored by the employer and supplied to the treating doctor and/or physiotherapist in the event of a workplace injury.
The format is designed to be easily and quickly reviewed and filled out in pen by the treating allied health professional, then sent directly back to the employer that day.
The PDA is used to determine when and how an employee returns to work safely and can reduce costs and leave time.
The Problem.
An inefficient return-to-work process.
The treatment team lacks important details of the job demands to make an accurate assessment on RTW- resulting in over conservative restrictions including unnecessary time off.
The overall cost of injuries is not spent on treatment, but on time between communications, report writing, missed phone calls, extra time off, lost production, over-conservative suitable duties and more.
The Solution.
Physical Demand Analysis on hand.
Have a registered physiotherapist assess the role and save you time and money!
We meet in person to discuss and rate all tasks, take photos (confidential) and measurements and assess the role into a user-friendly report for workplace and healthcare professionals.
Our Process
Step 1
We conduct a 1-2 hr on-site Physical Demand Analysis with a supervisor present to liaise and explain the job.
Step 2
We also create a 3-5 page PDA document which is sent back to you within the fortnight.
Step 3
Physiotherapy services are available out of Lifecare Noosa Sports and Spinal to treat and manage workplace injuries. For out-of-town assessments, PDAs can be used by any local doctor or allied health professional.
Step 4
Modifications are made to the PDA document your allied health professional as your injured worker’s physical status progresses clearly outlining a suitable duties program and is sent to you and your healthcare team.
Step 5
The local allied health professional can use the PDA to assess the injured worker to his/her full capabilities, making the safe decision if full duties are safe again.
